The line work and heavy black on Spidey's arms and legs gave it way... Miller all the way, baby! Nice work

Miller is a god among men. (No sadly I didn't recognize the style, but I read your comment) I think I mentioned before I have his Batman four parter (Return of the Dark Knight) and have not found a comic story on superheros I find more impressive since.
These two are nice basics. (Spidey, or Venom? And was this before Venom? Did spidey wear a dark suit? I'm not up on these things.)

Yep, pre-Venom. Venom is a costume which Spidey acquired on an alien planet during the first "Secret Wars". Tricky little alien/costume hid himself in alien technology and Spidey used it to create a costume which turned out to be a symbiote which fed on and drained his lifeforce.
Apparently Eddie Brock is a more suitable host than Peter Parker and has no adverse side-effects from the relationship except for that funny itching in his underwear.

Ah, that explains it. *lol* Funny how plot lines conveinantly wrap themselves around people. What drains the life force of one doesn't harm the other? I guess it's like the DandD games where an item with its own alignment can be hillariously bad news if it happens to be different from your own...

Not since Wizard # 18. Unless you count the two self publishing "O-Zone" comics anthologies, or the dozens of T-shirt designs I've done.

As a character he is kinda lame. I used to buy his comics when I was in high school but I haven't found them to be very interesting as I got older.
His best use is in the Avengers when he gets to play off the other heroes as their military leader.

I dunno, as a team member he's awesome but as an individual he doesn't seem to work so well.

Great work on this piece! The linework is excellent, and I really like the poses you have both heroes in! As to what artists' style...I'm thinking that it's either John Byrne, or John Buscema. Let me know either way, alright? Again marvelous work!

Although I owe a lot to both those illustrators, my main aim here was to mimic Frank Miller in his Daredevil run.
Thanks for the kudos!
