Thanks, I'm glad you think so. I might just have to do something more with the other too though now that you mention it, I do see a few things I could improve there.

this one is really cool! the i love the the way the scene appears to be slightly warped and confusing...it makes me feel that he is conjurring something rather huge!

Thanks, I glad you like it. I don't know about the different part exactly. I might have preplanned it more than most, I finished the main part of it several days ago and just let it percolate awhile in order to finish it in such a way as to exploit all the elements to the best of my current understanding of what people have seemed to like best about my gallery. Let me know if you decide what it is thats different, you've given me some good ideas in the past and I value your opinion.

Aw, thank you.
Well perhaps its just put together so well, almost flawless, your best so far. I may suggest not makeing the bird so blurry, but don't worry about it.

beautiful work! the textures give it an antique map feel on top of the fantasy elements. the background actually could be a huge map pulled down, the way it meets the floor. but he's releasing the bird, so it can't be... can it? i love work that plays with perceptions!

It is basically a scrying chamber though I will admit that his appearance may override my description of him summoning a black bird of his desire. I too thought that the texture went well with the globe although perhaps I should have visually tied that perception of mine into the work a little more than I did. I could see myself perhaps making this a series, there are more poses and other photographs of the checkerboard floor and I have access to the globe to photograph it in any position I need.
Thanks for your comments and perceptions, both are deeply appreciated. I'm glad you like the piece too!
