OK, this has gone on far enough. Her name has one r, not two. I know it's a minor thing, but it's a tad irritating when Super Mario Odyssey itself spells her name as Hariet (Dark Side brochure), yet people still spell her name wrong, often while saying how much they absolutely adore this character they don't even know how to spell the name of. As for MarioWiki, the page was moved back in October, the day before the game was released (by yours truly, in fact). The game's been out for 4 months now, just get it right, people. Please.And more importantly, before fanning out on a character design, make sure you know the first thing about the character.

The Harriet from Animal Crossing is called like that, because she is a HAIR dresser, so it's a pun pretty much.
So, it might be a typo since we don't write Harriet with a single "R".

No. They did it on purpose just to make the pun. "Spewart" isn't mispelled, it's a pun as well.

At this point I don't think people really care, I mean her name IS spelled in the game when you get to the Darkside Kingdom & find her in the brochure, problem is you don't know their names till you get to that kingdom, so that's KINDA Nintendo's fault for doing that. We're in a day & age were people react before reading. It'll PROBABLY change however if she were to appear in more games that have her name spelled correctly.

PrettyΒ sure the initial name "leak" came from Nintendo of Europe.....who have a worse track record regarding accuracy than Prima Games does. To be fair, it goes through multiple cultural translations to get to and through Europe, but I think a single R shouldn't be too hard.

Really now? Hmmm... I recall my first time learning her name was during, i think E3, when they had the mission playable to fight against her.
One of the Developers said her name, but everyone thought it was two R's and they did NOT specify in that interview.
But you have a point about cultural translations.
Hopefully in the future people will adapt to her name's proper spelling
But for the moment? I figure ALOT of folks that don't play Odyssey or don't really look at the brochures won't know
until like another game featuring the Broodals have their names shown for no one to miss.
