I'm happy you noticed it. I like telling stories and usually every element used in a composition has its meaning. The problem is that not many people understand them.

Why not? He has lost the person who took care fot him, maybe his mother, maybe his wife, maybe his nurse (the woman in the picture). He is slowly decaying alone, at home or at the abandoned (?) asylum. He eats dog food all day and watches the picture... Things like that, come on!
