Although, the appearance of the Next Knights did not bring many who want to hunt them down for their magic or something like that, it brought a person who did, but accidentally. And that's Scarlet Ruby. The daughter of Sombra. Her mother left them when she was 13-years old.

Her father owns the Crystal Co., a company in charge of scientific advances, whether chemical or industrial. And she is part of the company as one of the staff scientists. She would be the next to inherit the company, she even tries to show what she can do, presenting her projects, sketches and ideas. But sadly, Sombra never listens to her, focusing more on the profit of his own company rather than his own daughter.

One day, when she was going to her father's office to ask for his resignation, she secretly overheard a conversation between him and a client... "special". Who asked him to work on a kind of secret project for super soldiers. Offer which Sombra had to refuse.But Scarlet would take advantage of that rejected offer to work on a personal project, one in which she can probably finally get her demanding father's approval.

And so she was, after trial and error, calculations and mixture of chemicals and substances in a span of almost 3 weeks, she had finally achieved it. A special Serum in which she could improve visually, mentally, intellectually or hearing disabled people. But she needed to be tested, and since she couldn't get test subjects to experiment with her serum, she decided to be her test subject herself.

After a few moments of agony with the serum taking effect, that's when she reacted normally to her serum. Since improved reflexes, she is more physically active, her eyesight has also improved, even her sense of smell. She that day she could smell that they served broth in the dining room that was up to the ground floor.

But it would not be until the 4th day when everything turned to a strange course. It was until lunchtime, when she asked what she was going to have for breakfast. She ordered the normal, a chicken and potato sandwich with hot sauce. But once she finished it, something in her mind demanded more food. And she asked for another sandwich. But since what she told him demanded a lot, she went into the kitchen. Searching through refrigerators, rummaging through garbage, turning on water taps. Not even the cooks approached her to ask her why she did that, since when they tried to intervene, she responded with animal growls.

But in a sudden moment, she ran straight to the nearest bathroom to throw up everything she ate. And after mouth washing, she took her things and finished her shift early. She arrived at her home, she began to check her temperature, take pills, put on a portable pulse meter to monitor the acquired symptoms. And that's when Scarlet came to the conclusion that her serum has side effects.

But it would not arrive until the night where she went through a horrible moment of contractures, constipation and cramps throughout her body. Including growth of claws and fangs, elongation of the mouth, reddish eyes, tail, protofeathers on the nape of her neck, etc. Thus becoming a large scaly reptilian beast, and with the worst feeling of a hunter. Kill for Pleasure.

Although her encounter with dragon Jewel and the Next-Knights would be when she would break into the Fall Dance in CHS, cutting off the power of the place leaving everything in the dark. She would attack a technician and a security guard who went to check the fuse box that powered the school.

Dragon would face her trying to save Rossete from the beast, armed only with an emergency ax. She would be like this until the officer Rainbow Dash and 5 more police officers would help her, but the beast would escape from the place.

Now with a deranged mind, she thinks that with this new serum that she created, it could be what she was really looking for from the beginning: To improve the human species. Go to the next step in human evolution.
