Description Another one of Aesop's Fables in Dscript. The text is English text written in the Dscript 2d writing system.

In Dscript each letter can be connected to the other letters of a word in various flexible ways producing a solid glyph from each word.

Dscript is designed as a cursive alphabet that can be written both vertically and horizontally that way long words can be either tall, wide, box, or odd shaped.

Original Story Text:

THE GNAT AND THE BULL

A Gnat flew over the meadow with much buzzing for so small a creature and settled on the tip of one of the horns of a Bull. After he had rested a short time, he made ready to fly away. But before he left he begged the Bull's pardon for having used his horn for a resting place.

"You must be very glad to have me go now," he said.

"It's all the same to me," replied the Bull. "I did not even know you were there."

We are often of greater importance in our own eyes than in the eyes of our neighbor.

The smaller the mind the greater the conceit.

Each "word glyph" in this example is optimized for a set standard or writing dimensions and pen stroke conservation. There are many many possible form, shapes and variations for each word.

Dscript is a "constructed script". Constructed scripts are invented writing systems. "invented writing system" is most commonly intended to mean "invented in a single generation as opposed to evolving over many generations", natlangs(Natural Language) are what we call languages that have evolved for many generations, conlangs(Constructed language) are what we call the new ones.

Dscript was originally a "directional constructed script", this means it could be written both vertically and horizontally with a single pen stroke design. Over time it evolved into its current form, a "dimensional constructed script" which allows the "letter strings" of the directions script to be wrapped up, contorted, forked, and even have letters placed inside of other letters.

sure... always happy collab, I love seeing it used, ill help for free. Woudl you want to "find a design for a piece of text" or find a "piece of text to produce a pre-planned design?"

I was thinking of incorporating your script into a mask that I will design and then have another guy do it in 3D then printed. A hackerspace project unless of course you don't want to play with the other kids. LOL
