The clouds are swimming in the sky it seems, peacefully. I love the tone.

Great shot, nice HDR use, little halos on the left are maybe too much, a little burn would be perfect

You're right...interestingly, I never really noticed that part...but it's too late now, I'll just let it be.
Thanks a million!

Spooky atmosphere. Really. Great picture. I can't believe there are such clouds like that here in Sweden. I have never seen any. -.-

such soft colors-- it creates a very nice mood, very calming effect.

how do you created a hdr-image jsut with one single photo?

ACR + Photomatrix Tone Mapping plug-in
Open the RAW file in 16-bit mode then run the plug-in.
Simple as that

did you buy the plugin cause i got the demo and it watermarks it with a huge watermark

Yes, you have to buy it to remove the watermark
But there are some free options available as well...can't remember the name though, try googling for HDR.

Ok I really have to ask, how the hell do u get the textures and colors to look like uve burned it here and there? is it some kind of filter? or have u actually burned and dodged a little randomly so it doesn't look so ordinary? arg.. its frustrating, plus im not sure what words i shud use to look something like this up with a search engine hope u can help me out.
thx.

ok i spent 2 hours reading about hdr tone mapping and combining pics of different exposure, downloaded photomatix and noise ninja, and am sitting home waiting for sunrise. however, may i inquire as to what setting were used for this?

Sadly I can't recall what settings I used in this particular case, but I have a preset which I frequently use for my HDR works, here:

Just modify it for your needs...
Actually, there was a lot of other post-processing, like curves, levels, hue/saturation, layer blending, and other stuff I can't really remember.
Also, this image was made from 3 jpegs converted from 1 raw file, but later I've found a much easier way to do this. You'll need an ACR and a Photomatrix Tone Mapping plug-in for Photoshop. Just open your RAW image in 16-bit mode and run the plug-in .
Of course, making HDR from 3-5 different RAW's will do the better job, but if you're lazy like me you'll appreciate the 1-RAW-method .

Very nice, I like it.
Especially the clarity and the vivid colors are really nice.
Good work
