Description
I have always wanted to get a shot like this. Cannot believe my luck to bump into this guy with a raging afterglow filling the sky. I wish I could of shot a bit faster shutter speed in a way to freeze the net but then again I like the movement in the shot. Just didnt have that much light left to work with when it comes to action shots. Hope you enjoy! My work is copyrighted and any use of it without written permission from me is prohibited. Fantastic capture! I love beach silhouettes, and the motion in this one is so cool! Wonderful glow - great colors! Did he catch anything? On Wednesday, my brother-in-law and nephew caught 55 blue crabs (ALL female) just netting along the shore, and we had a great crab feast for lunch!

Yeah he caught a BUNCH of Pilchard. They are tiny bait fish. They were settling in there to fish for the night and were gonna be using them as bait. Mmmmmm....gotta love the blue crab! We had fresh bay scallops cooked in white wine over angel hair pasta. They had been out the in the bay catching them the day we drove down. Mmmmmmmmmm....

I know it's an artists prerogative to always want more but I've got to say I think this is pretty damn perfect as is. I've been browsing most of the day but this is by far the best shot I've seen......in quite awhile actually.
Really beautiful work, excellent

I am very honored Matt. The more I look at it...the more I like the tad "to slow" shutter speed. I think it adds drama to the shot now that I have thought about it more. Thank you so much man.

I think it's perfect Dennis The slight motion in the net gives a sense of what's happening in the context fo the shot. This is an amazing capture! Really nice detail in both sky and water. The fisherman is not quite sihouetted and that is nice too.
This one is a printer and framer for sure, Dennis

I tell everyone I wouldnt have one single decent shot without a little bit of luck involved. I wish the very same for you my friend. One day we should find a tropical island to retire to and open up a tourist photography business to support our landscape photography hobby.
