well lets just say that the bf2 files had to be synced with the memory, so only way to decrypted and extract the data inside it was via memory searching and where each offset went to to find the compression data, and then from there, had to decode stuff. And then the tool for getting the models and textures was hand made from scratch. Everything is private for now cause there's still some stuff that needs to be decoded to extract properly, like multi-uv layers and other texture formats.
