Oh, I could get into how Game Freak will never live down how there's a certain new gameplay concept that feels suspiciously familiar to something Bandai's been doing since 1998.

I can see where you're coming from, but I don't think it's near the level of copying or stealing ideas. Especially with things like Shaymin and Arceus already having the ability transforming back and forth. I feel the only real difference is that there's a name for this kind of thing now in the Pokemon series.

Those were under a different set of circumstances though. The fact that they're making this part of the battle sequence, and giving it to Pokemon all the way back from Gen I just seems more like a rip-off to me. Given that Game Freak has stated that wasn't the intention, it's still very similar.
