Description
Two more things that crossed my mind lately for Lv. UP!1) I've yet to draw all the important/current Lv. UP! characters in an comparable side-by-side scale.
2) I've yet to do my take on and characters as they should be turning up in the animation every now and then.
So I figured, I could kill two birds with one stone. I also hope to draw the rest of the current/main characters in a full line up sooner or later.

Ah, criticism.
I will say that it's nice to see you working with this universe again (WHERE YOU BEEN AT), and it's nice to see the characters I made in your style. Which was in its own way unexpected, but probably because there wasn't any real warning. So many thanks there. :3
That said...
1.) Marcy and Malcolm are relatively the same height, if you were to measure up to the top of the head. That is, if you are actually trying to scale everyone.
2.) Mag looks so tall! I think the longer-looking limbs make her look fairly lanky. She's actually fairly..."stubby." X3
3.) Diesel looks so slender! The boy's got muscle on him. He's not exactly "body-builder" (or "Strong Mad") but there's enough tone in him to make for a manageable living brick wall.
My thing from last year attempted to scale everyone comparably. I know the ratios for my own characters, but I wonder how far off I was with everyone else... X3
And I said this in another comment here, but I probably do need to actually *draw* that threesome in their casual gear...I've often meant to do so some time or another.

Yeah, with me realizing that there's only about 3 more months left until my personal deadline, that motivation sprang back up pretty well. Here's hoping it stays long enough...
And glad you like my attempt at your characters, and thanks for the critique. As I get the rest of the characters placed on scale, I'll be sure to try to redraw them into the cast with the proper changes. Truth be told, I'm actually still trying to figure what the overall "proper" scale will be for everyone.

Ah yes. I'm looking back at this now that I'm trying to make my characters taller. Such inconsistent dimensions in your work led me to misconceptions of the characters' general height.
Admittedly I may have to adopt the dimensions Mag demonstrates in the picture. The stubby limbs worked better when everyone was shorter, but trying to apply it to taller people isn't so easy. I suppose you could say I've warmed up more to the appearance.
But Diesel's still looks skinny, and Marcy's still supposed to be taller. X3

Speaking of which, how is this animation going so far? I've been very laid back about keeping on your butt about this.
But anyway, I do need to comment about the one on the right there. First off AWESOME! I love it when people draw my characters. Second, you've got him spot on. Maybe work on shortening the muzzle a bit. But for the most part this is exactly the way I want to see him in the story.

Its gonna be going... soon... I hope... I think I have some level of consistency down where I have enough confidence to actually get to animating.
And glad you like the results. My bad about the too long muzzle. It seems to be a force of habit, lately.

You've only got a few months left to meet that deadline. If nothing else try to at least get a majority of the thing done by then.

Then may I go crazy! Better yet, if I shifted the time I spent doing next to nothing, I could probably get more art work done...
Its not that I don't have the time to do as much work as I want, its that I have poor discipline with the time I HAVE to work, and I really need to fix that.

I do make goals, but I found its hard to meet any actual deadline without any potential "threat" (failing, losing money, etc). That's why I feel I need to better my own discipline so I don't have to have something looming over me to get stuff done.

You need to set shorter goals for each project you work on. Then find a way to reward yourself once you've reach a specific one.

Honestly, the best reward for me is getting the projects completed. Be it chapters or episodes.

Sure, that's the ultimate reward. But some good rewards along the way would be knowing you're actually on your way to completing the final product. That every goal you reach brings you one step closer.

Well unless the mid-point reward is coming from a 3rd party, its kinda hard for me to reward myself. When it comes to work, and even though I DO enjoy the work I do, it still feels like work until its completed. That's why it doesn't feel like there's much value from my giving myself rewards. But that's why I wanna improve my discipline so I can get work done without much needed reason.

Yeah, they both have casual threads. They were illustrated as sprites only so far, but they make use of them.
Diesel wears his when he isn't playing football or geared up for a battle. Malcolm technically always wears his when he going out; it's just usually hidden under his coat. (It shows more frequently once he gets his magic ring, and isn't as solely dependent on the coat for his magic.)
I've been meaning to make a picture of those three hanging out in their casual wear for a while now... X3
