*I don't own the rights or characters of the Pokemon franchise. Those rights belong to Nintendo, the Pokemon Company, Game Freak & their affiliates. What I create is based on my own ideas & thoughts.

I still haven't decided whether this centipede-millipede Pokemon belongs in my Italian or Australian region. But for now, let me explain what this little guy is. He's a Route 1 (early) BUG-type Pokemon the player will encounter on their journey. Treadipede.

As you can see, the design is like a tank tread, those wheels you find on tanks. His back is studded with surfaces able to tread any terrain. And he wraps himself around nuts or rocks to move across Route 1 or wherever he lives. As such, he can use moves such as Defense Curl or Coil to increase his defenses. Or he could use rolling attacks, such as Rollout (ROCK).

This is an early design for this guy &, frankly, I feel like I can do a little better. But you get the idea.

As for his relationship with the NORMAL & FLYING-types of Route 1, I'm still working on that. But here's what I have so far:

The NORMAL-type is a mammalian egg-eater that eats the FLYING-type's eggs in a nest in the tree. The NORMAL uses Treadipede (BUG) to entice the FLYING to eat it. While Treadipede fights the lured FLYING-type for its life (distracting it), the NORMAL climbs the tree & eats the FLYING's eggs.

I thought a relationship dynamic for Pokemon, depending on their TYPEs & environment in the region, was helpful in stimulating my brain juices in making new ideas for new Pokemon.
