Most times I take the bus, then stay with my step-bro in Canmore, or in our time share.
On this trip three of us were heading to Calgary for a funeral, the car broke down just as we were coming up to Field. The tow truck could take 2 of us, I spent 2 1/2 hours waiting for a friend in Calgary to come pick me up

Pay phone to BCAA, it came from Golden. There's not even a mechanic in the village
