EDIT 2: This is REALLY late, but another deviant let me know that she's actually done this idea already (and multiple times apparently!)(shadobabe.deviantart.com/art/W… ) So I just wanted to give her props for being ahead of the curb!--------------------------------------------------------------------

This idea randomly popped into my head while I was in Statistics. It was such an obvious concept that I wondered why I'd never seen someone draw it before...so like a hipster I drew it. (this couldn't be avoided, xD)
I had the impression that if they swapped shoes as well, Sonic wouldn't be able to figure out how to break using the hover shoes, and Shadow would be slow as dirt.
(Maybe SEGA should make a Sonic Re:Colors)

Sonic looks cool with stripes but the only problem is the eye colour and the chest fur All the other chraracters would notice that Shadow as Sonic's eyes would be red and not green are they going to have to get coloured contact lenses or something?! You seriously need to make a comic of this featuring all the potentail mix ups such as the shoes and eye colour and the obvious differences like quill shape it would be really funny! And one question What would happen if Sonic wore Shadow's rings would he go or energized or something? As for Shadow, he'd collapse on the floor because they support his energy and power.

Yes, that's all true to a degree, but I didn't say that any of the other characters would be fooled by their new appearance (if anything the impression is that they did an interesting but sloppy cosplay of each other).
Look, I would love to make a comic, but recently I've barely even had my own free time to get on the computer on weekdays, and on weekends I'm looking up scholarships and colleges because my senior year is only a summer away (and internships, oy).
To answer your question, I'm pretty sure that if Shadow gave Sonic his banglets, Sonic would be drained (or tired) and Shadow would be energized. Remember that Shadow's rings LIMIT his powers so he doesn't exhaust himself, they don't give him power.
