EDIT : I dont have the drive to finish this picture anymore :CJust a little idea I had pop into my head while I was waiting for my ride home at school.
I remember seeing this amazing picture of peacock before she got messed up by the Medici.
( [link] ) Artist is "rt-sy" i think
And I remembered reading about something where someone stated a theory behind Peacock being mutilated the way she was:
Basically Peacock and Marie were both maids for the Medicis and one day, Peacock decided to stand up for her friends. The Medicis later chopped off her arms and legs while poking out her eyes to demonstrate to the other maids what would happen if they retaliated. Marie then proceeded to run away and became the Skullgirl. In exchange, her wish was to eliminate all Medicis.

It gets worse when she fulfills Marrie's promise:
this could maybe be right after the end of the story mode for Peacock, but before the Black Dahlia cutscene. ‘Cause once everything’s been said and done, and the adrenaline’s no longer affecting your brain, she’d finally have time to sit down and… finally sink in that Dr. Avian, her savior and father figure (and maybe actual adoptive father) is dead, murdered by her best friend, who, by the way, she’s just killed. Also, her home at Lab 8 has been trashed and probably left unusable. So she’s pretty much a lost orphan once again (although an exceptionally cool orphan), still having the company of her gang, but who’s going to lack actual human love for the rest of her childhood and life maybe, because probably there aren’t going to be that many adults in New Meridian willing to adopt a child that has her eyes in her arms and clearly psychotic tendencies. And even if another lab finds her, chances of them treating her like an actual human being versus a tool like Painwheel are 50/50. Peacock is an awesome character, yep, but I wouldn’t actually want to take her place ever.

Funny thing is that this is also my head cannon with Peacock and Marie. I mean, Peacock's story is one of the best well developed stories I have seen in a long time (Yet again, I have yet to play Story Mode as all of the Skullgirls).
