hello, I'm from and just wanted to give some honest feedback all in an effort to help you improve, even though it looks like I could be learning from you more
Anyway here we go. First, I like the expression and style, its pretty adorable and the design, while simplistic, is pretty cute. I like the anatomy but I think the feet might need some work because they arent the same shape. I can assume it is because maybe the left foot is resting on the tail but given the perspective we can't tell.Β Plus, if the left foot IS resting on the tail then it should be more curved to show that fact.
Something I wish you went all out on was the shading or at least the intensity of the shading.Β I wish you went for more highlights and brighter shades and make the picture really "pop".Β I do appreciate the backlit shades and it really works well, just a thought is all. Same with the dark, more intense shades. Having more of those could really make this more of a dynamic piece. Plus having those different intensities applied to the spots could also be a test because I would've like to have seen the difference in the skin and the spots. I say this because right now the spots don't have much shading going on.Β
Background, while simplistic, is a nice color choice. I did notice something that can be a nice help for you though. I noticed in the background it has a little stutter, and I assume that is because it is a larger brush. To fix this, in photoshop at least, edit your brush with the icon of a little cup with paint brushes and go to the "spacing" slider and reduce that as low as you can. It makes your brush smooth when larger.Β What you have now means that there is high spacing and there is a gap between each press. Hope that tip helps. It really helps when your working big. To get what I am referring to, look at the background towards the bottom where it is darkest just before it gets lighter, you can see it isn't smooth but is instead a big jagged.
For the background in the future I say try an actual background to help set a scene to help show what kind of an environment this creature lives in. It would really help with establishing the character more.Β
Other than that I really think this is awesome, the character is awesome, and you have a well-developed style. It's great and you should feel accomplished
Hope what I said was helpful

Thank you sooo much for the feedback!!! (you don't know how much i've been waiting for actual constructive critisism)
I agree with your points, especially with the shading part. I admit i wasn't particularly being brave with my color choices for this piece, Thus the colors look rather dull.
I think the problem with the foot stems from the initial sketch... i guess i've looked at it for too long that i didn't notice the problem with the foot.
And thank you for the tip regarding the brush spacing thing.
Again, Thank you so much!

No problem! I always want people to point the good and the bad out with my drawings because if people only point out the good you donβt learn as much. And to the point when u said uve been looking at the picture for so long that you didnβt notice the foot... try flipping the drawing horizontally once in a while. This is a trick a lot of artists use because it gives you a new perspective. The picture should look right when it is flipped both ways and by flipping it, it gives you new things to look at and try to correct.
Hope you continue to grow, you already have a good talent and hope it develops more

That adds up, but allow me to subtract these math puns from the equation before the problems multiply and annoyance divides us. That fair and square?
