For all of you who ever wished to be something you're not (and probably won't ever be...) And for those who couldn't tell where the clothes come from, it's Princess Leia, Eowyn, Harry Potter and Belle.
Pour tous ceux qui on déjà souhaité être quelque chose qu'ils ne sont pas (et ne seront probablement jamais...) Et pour ceux qui ne saurait identifier les costumes, c'est la Princesse Leia, Eowyn, Harry Potter et Belle. (Illustrator)

I am so that... haha I can't believe it. You mixed all my favorites in one artwork! Star Wars, Disney, Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings! The only thing missing is Pirates of the Caribbean but that doesnt matter.

everyone secretly, and sometimes not so secretly, loves to dress up. it's why i have a purple wig and satyr horns. you've picked some good costumes there.

As I said before (I think), the concept wasn't really about dressing up differently but mostly about wanting to have a different life... I thought about the choice of costumes (a thing I didn't really do while drawing, I just picked them as they first came to my mind) and I think that the reasons are the following:
Leia: I love SW without being a fanatic... I like the concept of the force and Leia sure had what it takes to be a Jedi!
Eowyn: She doesn't like her life condition, but she actually act to change it by going to the big fight! (and she kicks ass!)
Harry Potter: This is just like my imaginary world (even if JK Rowling might kill all those still alive for now that I like! lol)
Belle: I wanted to be her so much as a kid, and I still want the dress!

ahh, it's an even deaper meaning then. imagination is a great thing. we can become someone completely different with it, even if it's just in our dreams. I really liked Eowyn in the books. not so much in the movies. I haven't read that far in Harry Potter yet! oh no. i don't want to know if anyone dies! .....

*finally gets out of chewbacca suit* you say that now but wait until you work there as an impersonator with little kids trying to tackle you and such. I'm sure the Belle at Disney World would convince you otherwise. Still... all is fun from time to time. If I ever have kids I'm gonna be the dad that dresses up on halloween.
