Gadget looked down at the handwritten note.
Dear Unholy Plague of Chaos Lieutenant Gadget,
I am writing to inform you that in order to preserve my sanity inernational security I am going far, far away to a secret location to hide undertake a daring, dangerous and possibly fatal mission. Do not try to find me. From now on I will send your orders via carrier pigeon.

That was so like Colonel Nozzaire. Always putting the safety of humanity first. Still, he should realise that Gadget wouldn't shy away from coming to his Colonel's aid in times of distress. Perhaps he thought that he needed to protect his junior colleague, but the concern was entirely misplaced. Gadget smiled to himself. There had been times when he had started to suspected that Nozzaire didn't like him. All that talk about 'Zhe bane of my existence', 'You half-witted imbizeel' and 'I never want to see you again in my life!". However, the events of last Friday had chased all such thoughts from his mind. When the Colonel had given that seemingly rage-filled roar Gadget had wondered if he was about to be punched in the face over some minor paperwork mishap.... yet he'd found himself in a most unorthodox position on Nozzaire's desk and on the recieving end of some very strange sensations indeed.
His cheeks redden at the memory at just how forceful the Colonel had been. He'd needed that Go Go Gadget Cushion for several days afterwards. Yet it hadn't done anything to diminish the big stupid grin on his face.
He looked at the note again and sighed. Some people just didn't know how to ask for help. "Go Go Gadget Nose Hair Tracker," he said. An arm dutifully emerged from his head, holding a tablet with a map displayed. Part of him had wondered whether covertly placing a GPS tacker on his direct superior was legal, or indeed entirely ethical. But he just couldn't bear the thought of Nozzaire ever being alone and in the clutches of evil with nobody to help him. After a few seconds small red dot appeared on the screen in the middle of a Peruvian mountain range.
So Peru it was then. "Go Go Gadget Copter."
He was, of course, certain that Colonel would be terribly cross that Gadget was endangering himself, but he'd surely see reason once Gadget explained just how useful he could be.
Who knew, perhaps he'd even be up for a game of Erotic Backgammon.

Hee, glad you like XD Nozzaire really has nobody to blame but himself for this whole debacle. Gadget's doubtless convinced that his Colonel's passionately in love with him and that all the insults, death threats and lamentations of despair are a cunning ploy to protect the object of his affections.
Something tells me however that the Go Go Gadget cushion is going to need regular reupholstering.

You've pretty much captured how I see their relationship. Mostly loathing on Nozzaire's side with dotting (and often accidentally painful) loyalty for Gadget with a mix of one-sided hatesex and sometimes heartfelt compassion.

Haha, no probably not. S'why it's one-sided. He just thinks the Colonel's kinda rough and passionate but that's understandable! He's a big guy! Probably doesn't know his own strength, wowzers! But since Gadget's such a good innocent cinnamon bun he'll gladly put up with it.
