Hollykit was born and raised in Thunderclan. The war began not too long after her birth and at some point during it her mother passed away. She was young enough at the time that she doesn't remember anything of her mother, even her name. Another Thunderclan queen took her in for awhile, but then during a camp invasion she was abandoned, left behind alone in the nursery. A warrior named Emberflight found her there and rescued her, bringing her to safety. She doesn't remember much else from her kithood, aside from the fact that after the war she would travel with the clans to the new territories.
◦ PAST: APPRENTICE - JOURNEY ◦
Hollypaw became an apprentice during the journey to the new territories. With no family and no one to watch out for her she traveled mostly alone. It was during this time that she met a Riverclan apprentice a bit older than her named Sunpaw. The two became fast friends and stuck close together during the remainder of the journey. She really enjoyed his company, and when they arrived at the new territories she chose to join Emberclan since that was where him and his family were going.
◦ PAST: APPRENTICE ◦
As an apprentice in Emberclan Hollypaw was obnoxious. Always running around, causing mischief wherever she went, she annoyed the living daylights out of every warrior in camp. She had a strong personality right from the get go and no fear of showing it.
One day a fight broke out in camp between a warrior Otterfoot and the medicine cat Halfpelt. Hollypaw witnessed the fight first hand and it was her first real taste of what a bad warrior was. Although it later came out that the fight had actually been caused by the lies of another warrior, Sharkscar, she harbored a dislike towards Otterfoot from there on out and that day helped to shape her feelings towards the idea of what a "traitor" is.
Hollypaw herself later got into trouble when she stepped in on Silverstripe scolding her friend Maplepaw. Angry at seeing her friend upset, she began to argue with Silverstripe and even went so far as to attack him. This earned her a bit of a bad reputation which took her awhile to repair, and it damaged her relationships with both Maplepaw and Sunpaw, who was Silverstripe's nephew, for awhile. Her and Silverstripe vehemently hated one another form that day out but acted civilly for the sake of Sunpaw, who hated that they didn't get along.
Her apprenticeship continued on as normal. Although she was chaotic and caused a lot of trouble in the clan, she made friends and generally did well in her trianing. Sunpaw earned his warrior name before her, and she was one of the loudest voices cheering at his ceremony. She was pretty happy for the most part.
Hollypaw's apprenticeship ended with a bang. It was a full moon and much of the clan had left camp, gone to attend the gathering. All was quiet and she was spending some time with Sunsplash when there was a sudden deep rumbling nearby. In a matter of moments the camp began to fill with mud, startling the cats. The melting snow off of the mountain had caused a mudslide. Panicking, the cats began to attempt to evacuate and all soon fell into chaos. During it an older warrior called Hollypaw over and told her to run to clans-crossing and get the clans. Realizing the urgency of the situation she ran right off, going as fast she could and not stopping or slowing at all until she reached clans-crossing. There she found the gathered cats from both clans and called their attention, announcing that Emberclan was in danger. Together they all went back and she spent the remainder of the night trying to aid those stuck in the mud.
Emberclan moved to Stormclan camp for awhile while warriors worked on digging out Emberclan's camp. Soon after Hollypaw, along with her other best friend Maplepaw, were both given their names. She was named Hollytail, because she ran so fast that all you saw was the tip of her tail.
◦ PAST: WARRIOR◦
Hollytail was beyond excited to become a warrior. She'd long dreamed of the day that she would receive her warrior name and at last it had arrived. For the first few moons of her warriorhood she was living still in Stormclan camp along with the rest of Emberclan. After awhile, though, the camp had finally been cleared out and they were allowed to return back home. She was happy and relieved to finally be back in their own camp, and excited to for the first time sleep in the Emberclan warrior's den.
Hollytail spent most of her time with her best friends Sunsplash and Mapledawn. They were the closest things that she had to family and she cherished them both. At some point Sunsplash lost most of his family, with the exception of his adopted sister Violetpaw. Though she did her best to comfort him, she wasn't sure what to say. Not having grown up with a real family she found it hard to relate to his pain. Still, she tried to be there for him the extent that she could, and knew that what comfort she couldn't provide Mapledawn would.
One night while spending some time alone with Sunsplash he confessed to her that he had long had feelings for her. This came to her as a surprise as she had been totally oblivious to this. Unsure of what to think, she agreed to try and just take things slowly and see where they go from there. However, it soon became apparent to her that she had made a mistake and she quickly regretted accepting his feelings. She became afraid and unsure of how she felt, and in a desperate mood to try and uncover how she really felt, she began to avoid him. This didn't help, though, and it inevitably all came to a head when she ran away into the woods, followed behind by Sunsplash and Mapledawn. Conversation quickly turned into fighting and Hollytail and Sunsplash came to a head. After he called her a traitor she lashed out in anger, raking her claws over his face. Whilst flailing about in pain, he gouged her shoulder with his claws and she too stumbled away in pain. He told her to leave, and with the final cold words of "I hate you" she did, disappearing into the trees. The last that they saw of her was the tip of her tail.
She is currently missing.
◦ FUN FACTS ◦
- Hollytail isn't entirely mentally stable. She has no specific mental illness, but she struggles a lot her handle her emotions and is prone to sudden and intense changes in emotion.
- When she was a kit she had a best friend named Smallkit. Smallkit, though, unfortunately passed away in the war.
- Hollytail's favorite game as a kit was 'moss ball'. You had to try and wrestle the ball of moss away from the other kits and keep it with you as long as you could by batting it around in front of you. She was really good at it.
