The photo is terrible. The lighting ruined it.My incomplete phoenix for the Tarja christmas calender project.
I quite like it so far. Still need to paint the tail. It's bigger than the whole bird itself, lol.

wahnsinn... als thumbnail hab ich gedacht, das wΓ€r ein modell! sieht richtig rΓ€umlich aus das bild. =}
... blitzlicht kΓΆnnte man auch mit "flash" ΓΌbersetzen.
und kitian hat recht, dadurch sieht man erst richtig die struktur.

I will look forward to the finished product, this by itself is amazing.
I don't think the lighting ruined it, it does reflect a bit, but it also shows the texture in doing so, which is nice, I can see the detail you put into that part rather nicely. Overall, I think it is brilliant, it looks alive to me

Photo quite often puts resistance and tries to ruin quite an effort, yet here it isn't much of a trouble...gives at least some effect. Also while most of the time phoenixes are portrayed with more details than baroque cathedral, phoenix of yours looks impressive in overall simplicity and unified form... Oh, and good luck with final outcome!

ha, nice. I was just imagining you sitting there painting when suddenly a bolt of lightning shot through your window and obliterated your paper. Leaving you just sitting there with all of your hair sticking up and your face black and charred...
