that. it's basically a photo of a toilet...

duchamp was paret of a group of experimental artists in new york. they had an exhibition, and they said for $6, they'd hang EVERYTHING they recieved, for that small entry fee. Duchamp entered that, they decided to NOT hang it, he left the exhibtion.
His idea was that art didn't have to be CREATED by the artist, but instead, the artist comes up with the idea. that's the most important thing... after all, does an architecht lay every brick?

So aside from the stuff that's fairly "easy" (fountain and lhooq), that synthetic cubism piece he did is absolutely wonderful
