Allegedly a crane involved when the kids asked for a treehouse...probably after a "hold my beer, I'm gonna try something"

Ah. The way any good classic redneck tale begins...

looks like something I almost could have accomplished parking in a snowstorm in my younger days, too!

Never seen snow that high...

we had a blizzard a few years ago where the National Guard lost a truck on the interstate close to this spot, and the local sheriff couldn't find a few snowmobiles until the spring thaw

That's completely crazy... The largest snow depth I've seen in these parts is about 2m (6ft). But that was a dune collected by the wind...

That's still quite the nuisance as far as winter goes, but there's nothing quite like heading out for work and noticing snow halfway up the backdoor window when you have to shovel through that just to get to the garage and really get started with the snow removal. Unless you're out skiing, that's about when you seriously start thinking about a few weeks in the tropics, or at least Florida!

It's very rare I face problems like that. Last time was when a dune of about 60cm had collected in my driveway... I put a box of Tuborg in it. That triggered a lot of neighboring help.
In Denmark there's only one climate zone. For warmer weather I'll have to go abroad.Β

that's some quick thinking, one way to make the snow clearing go way faster. The last deep snow storm we had the neighbors and I gave up on the plows and cleared the alley enough so we could make it the side street. Β Since it was too late to bother with work, the tavern down the street with the "Due to the snow emergency, we're open" made for a good destination!

Yeah, the owner's kid is pretty creative at times, and they've got a good sense for hiring female bartenders that are beer knowledgeable, friendly, and easy on the eyes

Love the epic, but I don't think it "grew" there, as trees do not grow from the bottom, but rather from the tips. Β Regardless though, tis is pretty spectacular. Β kudos

no, didn't "grow" there, lol. As I remember the story, a crane operator friend helped out when the owner's son wanted a cool treehouse

still a bit of a tricky job with a crane, I would have had it spinning all over and bouncing off everything nearby

could have resulted from a spin-out from the nearby interstate during one of those epic Wisconsin blizzards
