Description

This one came to me in a dream. Like, for real.

As I sketched this out and drew it on my PC, I was very aware that my subconscious was drawing from Chance the Rapper's Coloring Book album art, and that was a heavy part of what shaped this piece as I finished it. The biggest difference here is that I used a side profile of a woman in a more spacey night sky, but the idea is very similar. The hair was definitely the hardest part, but it was also the most fun of the whole thing. The major constellation that's obvious here is Pisces, but I didn't have the biggest reason for it. I just really liked how it's supposed to represent mother and child with Aphrodite and Eros, and it doubly works cause Aphrodite is the goddess of love and beauty.

Also, as for the dream I was having, this image was in a picture book that I was reading about space, and this is the only image I remember standing out from it all.
