Hey buddy i was wondering if i could use this as part of my project for university. i would require me adding a logo in the centre however i wont be posting it anywhere it will only be used for the project and i will be referencing the original image in my report

Hi, I'm working on a program to assist with a pen and paper rpg and I would love to use your pic as the primary background. The rpg system is Stars Without Number and this would be the program that would "emulate" the computers on the ship (for example, a map of the sector that the party is traveling through or a job listing section. As of this moment, I have no plans to upload the program to any specific websites as it is still largely unfinished. However, if it turns out to work well, I may wish to upload it to a wiki or another similar website with your permission. If it is uploaded to a website, it would be kept open source. For the program itself, a slight edit to the picture would be needed: a simple crop to remove the extra space on the bottom of the picture (all other "edits" are functional sections of the program added over the picture). Links to your deviantart would be provided in the description/about section.

No possible profit will be made from this and it is quite possible that this remains for personal use only, but would you be fine if the program does end up (open source) on a website for stars without number?

Uhhh, man, you rock on these computer screens. So, I am the developer of Splinter, a free desktop interface software. I am working on a small Stargate edition right now.
