Eventually, I did achieve a portrait with everyone smiling. But, the first few frames weren't cake.Related content

The woman in the picture still doesn't exactly look quite so happy there. And your friend's look is a bit on the stressful side.
I take it, this was work wasn't it?

This was only the second frame I took, and I think the worst expressions I've ever gotten from someone expecting to get their picture taken! Since it's so horrible, I put it in the 'Humorous' cat, because I thought it was a hoot, and my friend actually thought it was funny as hell! He's 'Keeping It Together' as best as he can, his wife with her broken foot is trying to fall over, and the dog wants NONE of this! I suppose since I'm the only one that thinks this is funny, I'll scrap it!

As a writer I can tell you that the comedy of the picture comes to light with the telling of this story. I would suggest you edit the Artist's comments and let it fly with the story that you tell here instead of scrapping it because only one person saw the humor in the vagueness of your description.
Don't be afraid of describing the whole scene going on behind the picture. You can often find better methods of handling a future shoot in the retelling.
