You know, I wonder if this pony is based on the G1 pony Fizzy (whose name rights have probably been lost by Hasbro). The back card of the toy certainly tells similarities.

Possibly. I may do a recolor using Fizzy's colors as well as a G3 colored Fizzy Pop. Dunno yet.

I wonder how she'd look with those glitter-type eyes that the original Fizzy had. Would such a look even be achievable in this style?

I guess you could use the sparkles from Celestia's hair only smaller and multicolored but it'd still be odd. I'm glad they went with normal looking eyes instead of using heart shapes and stuff.

It looks like many artists have already drawn such eyes in G4 style... You can just search "Fizzy" here and see what I mean. They appear to be more of a gemstone kind of eyes, though I have seen someone once refer to them as "kaleidoscope eyes".

Ah I see. Considering Hasbro likes to recycle cutie marks on the current toys and in the show, I'll probably just do a simple recolor than change the eyes or cutie mark.
