This remind me of when the Crusaders returned home. Some were treated badly and others had to sell their services as mercenaries because the Kingdom didn't want have pay and feed a huge army. While a few veterans had to no choice but to become pirates or bandits. Usually they find their services in the Eastern Roman Empire, Ilkhanate, and Seljuq empire. But amazing artwork nonetheless.
