One afternoon, Shining Armor loved Cadence so much that he wanted to show her how strong he was to protect her.Cadence: "Are you sure this is a good idea?"
Shining Armor: "Don't worry Cadence, you'llΒ be fine. I'll throw you up and high! And you will soar like an eagle!"
"Wow, are you sure?"
"Yes, of course! Trust me!"
The two went to the balcony of the Crystal Empire Castle. Once there, Shining Armor carried Cadence and prepared to throw her.
Feeling anxious, Cadence shut her eyes and squealed in fear: "Ough!"
"Ready?"
"Yes..."
"In 3... 2... 1..."
Suddenly, Twilight came out from behind screaming: "Argh!"
Distracted at the same time, Shining Armor accidentally threw Cadence downwards, towards the ground (quite high)Β below. Shocked, he observed his wife as she tried to avoid the ground below. Unfortunately, she hit the ground with her left wing and got heavily wounded.
"NOOOO!!!" Screamed Shining Armor.
Curious to know what happened, Twilight quickly ran towards the balcony and looked down.
"Why did you scream Twilight!? Can't you see I was going to throw Cadence!?"
"Sorry Shining Armor... I... Rarity was chasing me to tickle me with her magic, but I don't want it!"
Sooner later, Rarity appeared from behind and saw Twilight with tears coming down from her eyes. In panic, she quickly got to her and said: "Oh, I'm so sorry darling. If you didn't like me to tickle you, just say so!"
"No Rarity... it's not about your tickling. Look down the balcony to see for yourself."
When Rarity looked down, she screamed: "Oh dear! Isn't that Cadence!?"
Twilight and Shining Armor nodded, feeling bitter about Rarity at the same time.
Eventually, Cadence lost her left wing and got it replaced with a prosthetic one at a local hospital in Ponyville, which made her stronger and able to fly further.
"BUT I NEVER ASKED FOR THIS!" exclaimed Cadence
Moral of the story: Never throw your wife without locking your door. You never know when a distraction might just happen.

just one fuckin' thing... The legs are a little bit SHORT, just sayin' but the other are amazing!

Artwork is Fantastic! The story is fine; though I would've liked it more if it were the aftermath of a great battle. But this art does make me wonder: "What if Cadence lost her wing(s) one day, and how would she deal with having a prosthetic replace something she'd cherished for all her life?"
*I can come up with a short story script and the important events of said battle in a reply comment; but whenever I get it done.*

Piece is awesome. Story. meh. I get that is one way for Cadance to loose a wing, but I don't think even Shinning is that stupid. Besides, i see Cadance more loosing a wing in battle. More awesome that way.

Nice work overall! Β What intrigues me most is that dealing with physical loss usually falls on RD's role but she's determined to a fault and can push on through. However Cadance is a different story. From humble origins as an orphan raised in a simple home, she suddenly was brought to attention of Celestia and eventually became the Princess/Empress of the Crystal Empire, only to be faced with different evils from all sides. From being kidnapped then under siege TWICE to Tirek to the Winter of the Empire, Cadance has suddenly been subjected to all sorts of trials and terrors, but she seems to survive as triumph eventually returns everything to normal. But what if she did loose her wing(s) or even her magic too. How would she deal with a prosthetic? Β I want to see a whole story on this (I'm writing my own too, but it's not the focus and it's a LONG was off. )
Sorry for the wall of text, but this is what I love about MLP.Β The open ended characters and world that they've left for us to work with (and what people do with it!) is what I absolutely love!
