The lighting and composition look absolutely wonderful, especially how the lighting contrasts with the harshness of the black. Itβs very effective in portraying the sense of fear and despair. The red against the black itself also helps to portray this.
Though, I have to agree with ~brythefamousretard that the red in the background is off-putting at first glance. I can see why itβs there and, after reading you reasoning, I see at almost depicting a flash of pain. However, I would consider editing it out to see how you like the image. I think it would be quite effective if everything in the image faded into black on the right side. (:

Ima agree with all the nice things other people said apart from i don't mind the red bit so much, i love the lighting and i think this is just epicness in a box.

I was looking through your album and I've noticed each time you just got better. Then all of a sudden. BAM! Your improvement got that little but better. Though I do think with a little more practice with Photoshop is needed. Other than that it's great

Considering I can't write a critique, I'm gonna tell you what i think in the comments xD;
I think this is a stunning photo, the effects you've added make it truly mesmerizing and emotional, you get a true sense of fear that zoey is trapped in a dark space with zombies crawling all over the place, I got goosebumps when I first looked at this :]
I have one negative thing to say, the random orange log at the top looks totally out of place which ruins the photo a little bit.
But all in all I really love this piece <3

However I have to disagree with that. Since She is looking out into the light, the black and read behind her show pain and fear! The colour red represents pain while the black, fear! Well thats what I think anyway XD
