painted this while I was reading the vampire chronicles. Before I started it, I was thinking I wanted to paint a character from the books, but I wasn't sure who. Could this be Louis? With his black hair and melancholy look... The background is supposed to be old faded wallpaper in case you were wondering. My stupid camera kinda messed this up.Related content

after re-reading Queen of the Damned, I noticed that this portrait is a far more accurate portrayal than that of Mr. Pitt. Just the look on his face evokes a self-tormented impression, and broody nature. "And then I said farewell to sun light, and set out to become what I became." yeah, I had to throw another quote in there for good measure.

apparently the same group of people who thought he'd be a good Dorian Gray. Every scene he was in it was just "Mina *turns around with a smirk* Minaaa *turns around with same smirk* Mina, Mina, Mina. It makes sense, since it wasn't that good a movie anyway. And speaking of hair, how is it they turned Marius from a tall man with long, almost white blonde hair, to a short, skinny nerdy looking guy with short black hair???? And yet another reason why there are no more movies based on her books...aside from the ones about jesus...hollywood loves jesus apparently

I don't even know....hollywood has completely ruined vampires in general, it started out good with Nosferatu,Bram Stokers Dracula was amazing,Interview was pretty good, Queen of the damned awful, started going down... and now that Twilight has taken over the world there is no hope...............

Granted I have read Twilight (back when the characters didn't look like Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart aka 2007 ish) and it reads like something a teenager would write about her vampire wet dream. Not to mention most of, if not all, the characters are one dimensional. Because yeah sure, every guy in Washington wants a piece of this boring, lifeless, girl. Twilight is like a cheap prostitute covered in glitter.Bah. Gary Oldman as Dracula, no topping that for me. "Mina, I love you too much!" Amazing. I'm going to go watch that now hahaha, whilst ignoring Keanu Reeves playing a Englishman.
Oh, and before I forget, I saw a lot of your photos. One, you're very photogenic, and two, if I was to be so inclined could I use one of them as reference? aka Can I draw you? lol

Gary Oldman in the movie is the total sex. I love when he says "I have crossed ooooceans of time for you" hehhe.
I agree about Twilight, it is totally just for teenage girls going through puberty. I read the first one junior year of highschool I think. But that is also when I read the vampire chronicles and liked them so much. I thought Lestat was sexy in the books.

Lestat actually has a personality, which makes him so intriguing because he has flaws like a man would, albeit not physical ones haha.
I had an idea for a drawing of flowers and a woman, so your stock photo "window3" works perfectly into my idea, I'll post it at some point today or tomorrow so you can see

hahaha, Ok it's up. I couldn't get the mouth to look realistic so I had to alter my plan slightly, I still like how it came out, despite the simplicity.

I wish I could paint like this! No matter what I do I can never get anything to look like this. It's like everything I do the picture always looks so flat, no depth or really good detail. This is amazing!

I saw that! ... anyway the expression is so... Louis thinking about his own misery, the inmensity of the universe and the fragility of human being. I think Louis is always pretty bored, I ll buy him a play station.

absolutely stunning. the lighting is so perfect for a vampire! and the shadows! you can still tell it's faded wallpaper. but my eyes were drawn more to the character than the background. (I looked at the background after reading your comments though!

Know something weird? One time when I was bored I started doodling and that turned into a cape and then I ended up drawing Louis the weird part was if nothing else the colour is almost the same...
Nevertheless it's a very beautiful painting...
