The sea dweller paused long enough for your tiny body to wrap around his legs.
"Yes?" He looked down at you.
"Big sister Rose was showing me how to knit!" You said, steppping back a little.
"And, I made you something Eri-chan." You held out a box he didn't notice.
Eridan knelt down and you gave him the box.
He opened it and pulled out a scarf. It was kind of long. But he didn't say anything because he knew you had worked hard on it for him.
"Do you like it?" You asked him.
"Yes. Thank you, (Y/n)." He told you.
"Look! I made one to match yours for me!" She pulled out another scarf and put it on.
"See?" You asked.
"Eridan?" Rose asked for him.
"Wwhat?" You laughed.
Eridan looked down at you.
"Wwhat are you laughing at?" He asked you and you giggled some more.
"The way you pronounce your 'w's you say it twice instead of once." You told him.
"Eridan." Rose said again.
Eridan turned back to Rose.
'Wwhat do you wwant?" Eridan asked.
"Can I talk to you please?" She asked, looking worried.
"Yeah." Eridan got up and walked over to her.
"Wwhat?" He asked.
"It's (Y/n), she's sick. Really sick." Rose told him.
"Wwhat are you talking about? She looks perfectly fine!"
"Ssh! She has asthma. But it's a kind that I've never even heard of, let alone pronounce. Eridan, the doctors said someone needs to keep an eye on her all the time. It's just- I don't have enough time-and-"
"I'll take care of her." Eridan answered.
"But that's-"
"Please Rose." Eridan asked her.
"Okay. That's not was I was going to ask, but, if she wants to stay, then she can." Rose agreed.
"She'll wwant to stay." Eridan turned around to face (Y/n).
"(Y/n), Do you wanna stay with Eridan for a little while?" She asked.
"Yes!" You ran over and hugged Eridan again. Well, at least his legs. You were quite short.
"I'll go grab her stuff and bring it over." Rose told him.
"Okay." Eridan picked you up and put you on his shoulders.
You giggled and hung on to his horns.

~Timeskip to his house boat mabob~

"This is where you live?" You asked him.
"Yeah."Eridan put you down.
"This looks...." You looked around at his hive.
Eridan didn't say anything for fear you didn't like it.
"Amazing!" You smiled.
Eridan let out the breath he hadn't noticed he was holding. "So you like it?" He asked.
"I love it!"You told him.
"Well, let's go figure out where your rooms gonna be." Eridan took your hand and squeezed it a little.
He took you inside and you sat on his couch. Well, you guessed it was a couch.
"This was kinda sudden so..." Eridan didn't finish.
"So what?"
"I don't exactly have a place for you to sleep."He told you.
Well, he did. It's just that he wouldn't have a place to sleep.
Idiot, she's going to be staying here for awhile now. At least let her stay in your room. He mentally slapped himself.
"Okay (Y/n), you're gonna be staying in my room." Eridan began to lead you down the 'hall'.
When you saw the bed you immeaditatly climbed onto it and began to jump.
"Hey, Eri-chan..." You began.
"Yes?" He asked, watching you jump.
"Am I gonna live with you now? Big Sister Rose looked really worried when we went to the doctor and she said she was gonna have to find somebody else to take care of me." You told him.
"Oh. Wwell, I guess you could say you're gonna live with me." Eridan agreed with you.
You stopped jumping.
"Okay!" You laughed.

~Timeskip~

No. He had to keep it together. For (Y/n). She was terrified, and he could tell. Why did she have to come in then? When Eridan was in the midsts of getting rid of Kanaya?
"(Y/n), it's okay." He approached you.
"No!Stay away from me! You're a monster!" You cried out and ran out the door.
"(y/n)!" Eridan called after you.
Only an idiot could've done this. Scared a child like that. So in the event that he killed Feferi and Kanaya, he had also lost you.
Wait a minute.
He heard coughing.
Terrible coughing.
Eridan ran out of the room to find you on the ground, gasping for air.
Your inhaler was ten feet away from you.
Eridan grabbed it and swooped down upon you, giving you two breaths of air.
Your coughing eased and you began to breathe steadily again.
"Eri-chan...." You said.
"Yes?" He asked.
"Why did you hurt Kanaya and Feferi?"The question was so sudden.
"I-I...."Eridan didn't finish.
"That's okay, if you didn't want to say anything, you didn't have to. I was... just... wondering..." Eridan noticed your breathing was shallow.
"(Y/n), are you alright?" He asked.
No answer.
"(Y/n)?!" Eridan called your name again.
You were still breathing but barely.
"(Y/n), stay with me. Don't leave me. I'll be lonely." Eridan began to cry.
He pulled out his scarf.
"(Y/n), if you leave me, we won't have matching scarves anymore!" He sobbed.
But you had already left him, and taken your scarf with you.
