Description Some suggestions.  Not all of this makes sense: why do eyelashes only point sideways?

Why do eyelashes always point sideways?  Because eyelashes aren't long enough for foreshortening to work.  Instead, the result is simply heavy eyeliner, which could indicate a female character ... or a tired one ... or one that's been beaten up ... or one that's criminal.   So, the choice comes down to flinging the eyelashes to the side where they're easily contrasted against the periphery, or use another indicator, such as (Oh Lord have mercy) Put A Bow On Her Head.  That, or draw females with rounded contours, while male ones are square and angular as if drawn with a T square.

The sideways eyelashes are just too easy and too omnipresent to be thwarted.  However, as you've indicated, one can still play around with them.  Good on you, Megan; this is a nifty reference model.

I always find these sorts of things interesting, especially since they often vary widely depending on the artist. Every one of us draws eyes differently, and how we draw them often shows a lot about our influences and interests. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks man!  I was inspired by JW Kennedy using my "eye style" on some pictures so I decided to put it all together for people.
