Impact
The Edge of Patience. A evocative capture that imbue sense and soul to the picture. So your vision express itself quite authentically and leave little space to marginal interpretation.
Let's begin though with the remarkable composition. First, the fact that only three tones are used, and they are plainly presented, excacerbate the simplicity and the potency of the need. If patience is a insistence, here it's close to a imperative. The severity of the tone express the limit of the affliction. And the darkish tonality amplify the austerity of it.
There is more. The position of the hand. A gesture made for receiving, right? Nearly inviting, you say? But also, the hand demand with the stretch out index, like when we appeal someone or something we dearly want.
And don't be a fool, these black fingernails aren't there to be just pretty, which they are, but sharp little daggers ready to dance on your throat.
The frame is perfect and we see enough of the hand and the forearm to implicitely comprehend a facing gesture, even if patience required heavy rest. If I push a little bit more I could say that the whiteness of the skin evoke long lasting patience by mimicking a statue of stone, freeze in time.
Finally, I think the impact is greater since it's a feminine hand. In french we sometimes say:
''Ce que femme veut, femme aura''
Pretty damn good stuff, Sir
Thank you for sharing your gift so generously!

Much thankful for your critique. It's the first one to works from my gallery.
This critique reflects the assessment of an inner impression and a technical side, so it's very useful for understanding of how another person can see what was meant. Moreover it's important that you have described your perception of the image and its filling in details.
A gesture seemsΒ for meΒ like that as a person is lying on a back and the hand, once still, is gathering all its residuary strength to endure, and an effort, a faint one already, is near the limit.

Good, you are indeed well in place to know the original meaning of the picture! And, yeah, that could also really make a lot of sense.
To tell you the truth, I really see a lot of potency in the picture has a overall, but also particularly from the hand. I really don't get any impressions of vain effort.
Normally, frailty and failure aren't presented in such a strong composition, I think.
And don't get me wrong, I don't try to argue with you, I'm telling you my feeling about it.Β
Thankx for the quickness of your feedback and for your openness.
Really nice piece of art anyway whichever it's a composition of strengthΒ or weakness under duress.Β Β
Passez une belle journΓ©e,

Thank you for the attention. You can find other images in my gallery for the desirable view. And what about this image, it was taken some years ago, and nowadays I mostly do not use nail polish at all.
