Hazy images burst forth, full of vibrant colors and activity, liveliness.
I find myself to be wrapped in someone's arms, walking towards my front door. I see a tiny, golden bird cage beside the door in the place of a lantern. A pair of tan hands reach toward the cage's door and unlatch it.
Suddenly the bright red and pea-green birds that were trapped within the confines of the cage burst forth, soaring out from the scene, seeking their chance of escape and leaving behind a single red feather. While everyone else reaches for the birds, hoping to capture them once more, I laugh and reach for the feather, and I see my tiny pink hands outstretched before me...
I am in the gentle, warm arms of my mother, and in a large stadium filled to the brim with thousands of spectators and a crystal clear pool at the center of it all. There is a giant cookoo clock, and yet when it strikes approximately twelve o'clock not a single yellow bird bursts forth to caw its trademark "cookoo," but in its place a perfectly attired giant wooden soldier that marched forth in a wound-up fashion. His rifle held steady and firmly in his hand and rested upon his left shoulder, uniformed in a bright red army jacket and luminescent blue pants.
At the same moment the giant wooden soldier walks forward, two killer whales jump high from out of the depths of the aqua water and knock the giant wooden soldier from where he stood upon his purple plank, and I watched as he fell into the water along with the two vicious whales. The crowd roars louder yet and I fall back asleep--or perhaps I had never been awake to begin with and was ensnared in a vibrant slumber...
