So, this is my application image & text for -- an awesome-looking Pokemon based OCT.

Name: Keira Claisen
Age: 19
Hometown: Blackthorn City, Johto
Personality: Loud, joyful and optimistic. She's very close with her pokemon and is always low on cash from spoiling them with gifts and treats, as well as keeping well stocked with healing items. She's very protective of her pokemon, and trains them slowly but steadily, never overworking them. She is bright and intelligent, appreciative of new things, enjoys scenery and making friends with new faces. She is very in touch with her family. Her mother collects Apricorns, having them fixed into Friend Balls, which she gives Keira to use. Keira too collects them (and other Apricorns) and uses an Apriblender to make Aprijuice for her pokemon. She hopes to complete the Pokemon League challenge and travel into Kanto someday, but is more focused on enjoying her life with her friends and Pokemon.
History: Keira grew up in Blackthorn, an only child. Her father had taken the League challenge when he was younger, but settled down in Blackthorn after meeting Keira's mother, and repeatedly being unable to defeat the city's gym leader.
When Keira was almost twelve, she wandered into the Ice Path alone, and got completely lost. Her mother eventually found her and was terrified of her getting hurt again, so she gave her a very young and unusually small Dratini, named Nessie. She was told to train her well to be her friend, protector, and companion. This, combined with stories she'd heard from her father about travelling Johto and challenging gyms, made Keira decide to do the same for herself.
During her early teenage years, Keira spent time caring for and raising her Dratini, staying in the area near Blackthorn City. Once, while venturing down Route 45 to collect Apricorns, she came across a wild Skarmory. Battling with Nessie, she eventually caught the Skarmory in a Friend Ball and named him Razor. Not long afterwards, she set off for Violet City at fifteen to start her journey as a Johto League trainer, two Pokemon in tow.
Keira often spent time in the cities she visited, being leisurely with her challenge of the Johto League. She took non-League opportunities along the way, such as entering her Pokemon in Contests and the Pokeathalon, and visiting landmarks (National Park, Ruins of Alph, etc).
When she first arrived in Goldenrod City, Keira was offered a mysterious egg and a satchel of items from a foreign traveler who wanted to be rid of the lot. Keira knew about Eggs, and gladly doled out what little money she had saved up to take the Egg and items off of his hands and into her care. The items she recieved were some Pokeballs, a Dawn Stone, and some Hyper Potions, and eventually, the Egg hatched a male Ralts (who she called Felix). She was surprised to have such a rare and foreign Pokemon, and decided to keep him in her permanent party with her Dratini and Skarmory .
She spent almost a year in Goldenrod, lightly training and conditioning her party of three. Nessie evolved into Dragonair after challenging the Goldenrod City Gym, and Felix into Kirlia once she reached Ecruteak City and defeated its Gym. She spent some time resting in Olivine City, and trained her team over time, until Felix was about to evolve a last time. After struggling with whether or not to expose him to the Dawn Stone, he ended up as a male Gardevoir, and helped her defeat the Cianwood City Gym.
Once she was able to Fly, Keira visited home for a long-needed break and to spend time with her parents. While resting in Blackthorn City, the Big Sky Carnival advertisement screens started to show up. Her father urged her to enter, and she decided to go for it. Though she might be less skilled than the rest of the competitors, she thought it was an opportunity too great to pass up.

Species: Dragonair
Sex: Female
Ability: Shed Skin
Nature: Timid
Hold Item: Soothe Bell
Battle style: Preference for special attacks and paralysis. Strikes first almost always, and tries to have type advantage over opponents.
Athletic stat: Jump
Contest stat: Cool
Other info: She is much smaller than most of her species, but this makes her quicker and more evasive. She has the Shell Bell attached to her by a small white ribbon tied at her neck, just below the orb. She's had this since she was a young Dratini, and trusts Keira immensely.

Pokemon #2:

Name: Felix
Species: Gardevoir
Sex: Male
Ability: Trace
Nature: Quiet
Hold Item: Shell Bell
Battle style: Uses special attacks, precise and accurate, mostly Psychic moves and status changing moves, as well as self-healing and boosting. He focuses on the opponent, does little to evade and doesn't move much.
Athletic stat: Skill
Contest stat: Smart
Other info: Quiet and somewhat lonesome, he is used to being alienated in Johto as a rare, foreign pokemon. He's taller and sturdier than most Gardevoir as he's male, but is slower. Keira looks after him, and he's completely loyal to her. The Shell Bell he has is tied around his neck with a red ribbon.

Pokemon #3:

Species: Skarmory
Sex: Male
Ability: Keen Eye
Nature: Rash
Hold Item: Quick Claw
Battle style: Relies on physical attacts, speed, and has tremendous accuracy. He is generally more agressive and tries to finish battles quickly.
Athletic stat: Speed
Contest stat: Cool
Other info: He trusts Keira but doesn't get along well with her other pokemon. He's abrasive and has a temper, but is tough and sturdy. He likes flying and battling, and dislikes being inside a pokeball for too long. On a string around his neck is a Quick Claw.
