Here she is. The new lady in my life.
Her name is Sweet Cherokeelady. Registered American Paint Horse. She helps ease the pain of Dusty's absence.
She's a doll.

Yes'um. She is an overo. Her papers say she's a sorrel, but I'm not convinced. She's more of a copper chestnut to me.
I love her to pieces, and MY is she a big mare!

The story isn't as simple as "geting rid" of him. Circumstances befell the two of us in which I could no longer give him what he deserved. He needed a different type of care, and a different type of person now. I loved him with all of my heart, and those 6 years we spent can never be replaced, but for several reasons, I had to let him go to a family that would beable to provide a better suited rider.
Just as the owners of this mare felt that she would have a good future with me.
I really do wish I could've kept Dusty until the day he passed, but how would that be fair to him? I couldn't ride him to his full potential, and the things we used to do, he didn't want to do.
It's a rather hard and long story, but the decision was all for his well being into his years to come.

hah, i didnt mean to use 'get rid' in a negative way. i dont think you would have let dusty go without good reason. sad that it didnt work out, but i hope you can both be happy.
