YELLOW-SPOTTED LADY BEETLES
GENUS: Hyperaspis
Not all lady beetles are red with black spots: some are black with red, orange, or yellow spots, like the Hyperaspis in this picture. Most of the beetles in this genus are predators.

I have some photos of solid red ones with no spots, and red with black spots...but never a black one with yellow spots. I wasn't sure it was a ladybug at first....but she sure was pretty. She looked almost regal climbing on that green stem...and she was FAST!

It is a Cannon Supershot. I had to change the shutter speed to get a good capture. She moved so fast, I couldn't keep up with her.
