Reminds me of "Dwarven Stone Armor" from the 3e arms an equipment guide: thick slabs of rock cut into the shape of armor.

Mountain Plate from 3.5 Races of Stone one-ups this: It doesn't let you run, and overcomes dwarves' ability to ignore armor speedy penalty D=

I know, but it's nowhere near as silly. On the other hand, if you can afford to make it out ofΒ Urdrukar, again from the arms and equipment guide, you become effective immune to scrying. The material gives you a +2 bonus on saves against scrying for every 5 pounds of it you wear or carry, so with Mountain Plate's weight of 225 lbs, that's a +90 bonus. And unlike spells or magic armor abilities, it's not dispellable.
