Like, the idea that the "nothing" outside of reality is caustic is actually scary in that it is completely plausible. If there are no other universes out there and it's just this one, or that we're in a megaverse, that means that there is an infinite, infinite void of nothing and that existence in our perception is a point of presence that could flicker out at any given moment.
Reality has the potential to be terrifyingly unstable.

Well, technically Keys to the Kingdom is fantasy, but it has a huge amount of "cosmic horror" elements.
I like to take such elements in my books, but I tend to mix that with politics, scifi, and add pornographic elements. and horror elements.
Hell, I like mixing everything together.
Just the other day I showed someone my work and they went "wow that's fucked up."
