LemurMonster [2004-09-15 03:50:18 +0000 UTC]

Why aren't they like 600 tons and eating the terrorists?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

dwarfpriest In reply to LemurMonster [2004-09-15 04:23:55 +0000 UTC]

Cause once in a while, I do serious drawings. Don't wanted to make fun of teh tragedy in the life of many families.
Though since they are statues, they probably weight more than 500 tons...

Hmm, nice expressions... IMO, I think it would be better if you tweak up the color of the tears*?*.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

dwarfpriest In reply to ReijiMaeda [2004-09-14 22:36:30 +0000 UTC]

Thanks.
Yeah, those tears looks very bad... but I wanted that effect, where everything is black and white, and a small detail is colored (usualy red, but blue in this case). I tried doing some more effects on Photoshop, but don't wanted to waste time.

It makes you think, 9/11 was such a huge event it was recognized continents away, in a way it was a good event for bringing people together and making us realize how vulnerable not just america but the entire earth is

dwarfpriest In reply to Im-some-dude [2004-09-14 22:35:15 +0000 UTC]

Like I said, humanity is stupid. For people to ignore its diferences, we needed a catastrophe with hundreds of human deaths...

Carnatic [2004-09-12 12:03:36 +0000 UTC]

Good to see there are people who still remember September the 11th as the day lots of people died, and not the day the 'war on terror' began.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

dwarfpriest In reply to Carnatic [2004-09-14 22:33:23 +0000 UTC]

Exacly. I even heard some people here say "It was in America? Then I dont care" And it was even before Bush started to make war after war... Humanity is stupid...

Now I think that if I had used a good scanner, the effect would not be so good.

BellyEnthusiast In reply to dwarfpriest [2004-09-14 23:14:55 +0000 UTC]

Absolutely....although it is a shame that the unity following 9/11 has since been replaced by paranoia and Islamaphobia.

ArchangelDreadnought [2004-09-12 03:35:18 +0000 UTC]

Ya know, that is really cool as is. I mean the way its scanned or however you got it on to the computer makes it have a lot more feeling to it for reasons I can't put into words

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

dwarfpriest In reply to ArchangelDreadnought [2004-09-12 03:39:15 +0000 UTC]

Thanks. I got it with a webcam, and added some gray lines on photoshop to highlight some lines.

dwarfpriest In reply to gspoon [2004-09-14 22:29:06 +0000 UTC]

Here, we had one or two TV news talking about it that day.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

gspoon In reply to dwarfpriest [2004-09-14 22:52:10 +0000 UTC]

really? thats weird, nothing happened here

👍: 0 ⏩: 0

CidCidWai In reply to gspoon [2004-09-12 10:48:35 +0000 UTC]

I would like to say, thank you Dwarf.

That day is what I'm fighting for, as for why there was no news...
Unfortunately people forget.
And that causes the same thing to happen.
Why?
Because time flows like a river and history repeats.

Again, thank you Dwarf.

-points at self- i didnt forget, i was like "where are the stories of 9-11" on the TV

and i learned something on 9-11...i learned what the WTC was, learned how much those 6 arab countries want israel back, and that we can be attacked.

CidCidWai In reply to gspoon [2004-09-12 17:15:04 +0000 UTC]

I learned why I decided to join the Army after I was 18.

It was to protect the people I love...
Speaking of which, one said person probably isn't too happy that I'm not at home right now.

*kicks self* I should of remebered Sept. 16th >.< But I guess I didn't realize that I would be in Arkansas till the 24th x.x

Oh well
