God bless Vista This is the second inflation joke I've seen it inspire, and a good one too
It's a pretty sweet OS, so smart it can fix itself when it breaks down, but you're right about it being slow. This is part of why I'm trying to overclock my PC

I wouldn't say "bless".. I just heard bad things about it, specially the "ultimate" 64 bit version. Awfully slow, demand expensive and powerful machines, incompatible with a huge array of programs (i.e., all those hundreds or thousands of dollars you spent on programs will be wasted), and even the ones that work are severely crippled by the system, like auto and video programs.
A friend pointed me to some Japanese websites, and people there has been doing these expansion jokes for quite a while now

Vista gets a lotta hate for some reason. Go to the right websites, and you'll learn that Vista does everything evil and despicable except cause cancer and suck the breath from sleeping babies. I use it my main PC, and so far, I've only had two real problems with it:
1) it slows WAAAAAAAAY down if you leave it running for, say, 24 hrs or more. This brings us almost back to the old windows versions that used to have to be rebooted every 10-15 hrs.
2) someone at MS decided that the little bundled sound recorder of old was too good, and needed to be crap-i-fied, so they ripped out a bunch of its functionality and made it so it could only record in WMA format. While they were at it, they hacked out the handy ability that windows has had since forever to set your record program to listen at the "line in" channel and thus record sounds from movies playing on the computer. This is probably some sort of ham-fisted attempt at anti-piracy (btw, I've not noticed vista having a problem with ANY other media I play, and as far as I can tell it makes no attempt to spy on me or control what media I play). The work-around is simple: I run a cable with two male connectors between the mic input and the speaker output.
I've not installed a wide variety of my old software yet, but so far, I've had no trouble with Vista; it even HELPED me install an old program that was being a little bitch; when the install failed, Vista said, basically "Excuse me, but you seem to have had a problem. I think I know how to fix it though. Would you like me to try my idea, or should we just forget this old program and move on?" Whatever Vista's idea was, it worked flawlessly, which makes the second or third time Vista has repaired itself or a piece I've tried to stick on it.
As for Vista 64, I know almost nothing about it. I've heard that drivers are practically non-existent, that compatibility currently sucks, and so forth. I had it installed for about 10 seconds; then I tried to install Zone Alarm Security Suite, and ZA basically said "You have what OS??? I'm sorry man, but I can't protect you. You're on your own." That was all she wrote for Vista 64.

What anime might this be from?

Thank you
It's not from an anime. It's hard to explain. Search wikipedia for "OS-Tan"

You know, I did a search out of sheer curiousity. I think you might just be the first person to do Vista-Tan art.
Anyway, I like this one. Not sure why, I just do. I think it may have something to do with her plump lips or just the general
shape of her body (she's very round). Or maybe it's how her mandrian-style dress just barely provides her cover as her belly peeks around the sides.

Actually, there's enough fanart of her in japanese sites, including many more bbw art of her. I actually based my drawing on those ones.

I do like how her belly peaks out from the sides of her dress like that. Increased compacity indeed
