wow that's my fav of yours! that fire looks ace. about the dark background, i think it makes it more evil and allows for greater contrast with the fire.

Thanks. The fire was the hardest part, as this was my first painting i didnt know what would work. still trying to find a fire style that im completely happy with. glad you think it looks good!
As for the background, all my early stuff (and most recent as well) are made darker, its a habbit. but i will check out a lighter version i did make.
