Arch Linux with Awesome WM and custom tile layout. Also using Compton for composition.

Firefox Nightly (Australis) [v31.0a1] and 4-Chan with my CSS. Using Vimperator for navigation.
(Firefox CSS can also place an url-bar on top (below the tabs or merged with the tabs on the left) or at the bottom of the browser)

Terminals (URxvt-256color) showing from left: screenfetch and ncmpcpp + mpd.

My files can be found at twily.info (files updated for this theme May 17th, 2014)

The Lemon font and my vol/bat widgets belong to github.com/phallus .

I was looking at your configs and was wondering if I could get access to the icons you use in your theme?

Hey, bud. Do you check your email (twily@horsefucker.org )? I sent you an email earlier and realized it might be a secondary email that you don't check often. Either way, I sent you an email containing a question regarding your Firefox-css. Hit me up when you can, or tell me if I should message you elsewhere.

You should post your Firefox style on userstyles.org. I would love to be able to get automatic updates, I can't use Firefox without it.

Update on the userstyles issue: They have fixed the css parser so i managed to get my style uploaded there now, you can find it here userstyles.org/styles/102262/t….

looking into it, not sure if it supports css variables yet since it was first introduced to firefox on v29.0a1 i think..
got an parse error around one of my variables when i was trying to submit it (which i posted here forum.userstyles.org/discussio… .

also since i make my settings within the css using the variables any custom settings/colors you set will be reset on update though

what is that bar under your tabs? I installed your theme (looks awesome!) but I don't know how to add that bar.

never mind. I found it in your 4chan css. Why does it make images look washed out?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

dwv91 In reply to moxiecrimefighter06 [2014-03-03 19:56:03 +0000 UTC]

not sure what you mean by washed out.. if you mean the pictures/thumbnails on 4chan i only round the corners by 1px and set a drop shadow on them.
you can also change this in the 4chan css on this line ".board img {..."

it turned out to be another style that I had enabled that was washing out images.

i love your 4chan css but I can't figure out how to click on threads or post things without using a mouse. Any tips/ tricks I should know about?

ah, okey.

and for your question i don't think i can help you out on that, using a mouse myself for those tasks.
post numbers are displayed on mouse hovering posts which i'm using for posting in threads and i'm usually using the catalog to open threads.
(also creating threads can only be done from the catalog with my style)

and just so you know my css is made for browsing /g/ and /wg/ mostly so minor bugs may appear on other boards

Firstly let me say that you've done a wonderful job. Very beautiful really!

I'm using your CSS for Firefox Nightly (Australis, 30.0a1 [2014-02-16]) with Stylish (1.4.1) everything looks great. However with Vimperator (3.8.2) for some reason using your CSS causes Vimperator to not respect ignorekeys rules. For example if I were to browse to www.google.com and use I to add a rule to ignorekeys to that domain it only works until I next restart Firefox. Then it no longer works. If I don't use this theme it works all the time. If this didn't happen it would be perfect!

I'm just wondering if you had the same problem? I don't know much about these things so perhaps it is nothing to do with your CSS and rather a conflict between the programs themselves. If I could find some other Nightly themes I would test it out.

haven't really been using the ignorekeys feature of vimperator so i didn't know of that issue, but i think i managed to fix it..
seems it needs the nav-bar/urlbar in order to have that function so for now i just hidden the nav-bar instead of disabling it entirely (shouldn't notice any difference except from ignorekeys now working)

css updated here twily.info/firefox/firefox-css

I tried to use your awesomewm layout, but got a error of "layouts.lua not found"
Do you have any idea on how to fix that?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

dwv91 In reply to t-149 [2014-02-14 19:40:57 +0000 UTC]

long time since i started setting this up but i think i found the error, i have forgotten to include the init.lua file in the layouts directory
try creating the ~/.config/awesome/layouts/init.lua and apply this code pastebin.com/SjeAWJe8

Again, another error, Line 14, "wibox.center".

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

dwv91 In reply to t-149 [2014-02-16 21:31:07 +0000 UTC]

in my rc.lua i have 'center = require("wibox.center")' which require the center.lua on my site to be located in ~/.config/awesome/wibox/center.lua
if you're using my rc.lua it will require the other 4 files on my site to be in the correct directory (theme.lua, uselesstile.lua, twily.lua, center.lua)
if you have all the files already i'm not sure what's triggering the error

t-149 In reply to dwv91 [2014-02-17 11:08:50 +0000 UTC]

Okay, fixed, another error popup up. Failed to open squareln-fg.png
(It was supposed to be in ~/.config/awesome/theme/taglist/squareln-fg.png), but I can't found it.

Why don't you upload your dotfiles folder into github or something?

i like having my own site, but i did make an "complete package" dotfiles download (.zip archive) now which contains images and other files as well that where not available from my site before
www.dropbox.com/s/ndzvt4tdrul0… (link can be found on my site as well)
