HELLO, THIS WAS MY WEEKEND.
I've been wanting to design each assassin’s mask for a while now, inspired by a mix of the wearable sculptures of Rein Vollenga and planetary symbols.
The symbols were actually the hardest part of the whole process and took me several months to solidify SOB. When I finally figured all of them out, I kinda went crazy with these bust shots.
In order:
Sun - Kajur, Mercury - Kye, Venus - Hiu, Moon - Chandra, Mars - Kou, Jupiter - Marduk, Saturn - Shani, Uranus - Yozu, Neptune - Sei’zin, Pluto - Yama.
Kajur doesn't have a mask since she’s the head of the Solaris organization and doesn't do assassinations. The rest are all in order of her favoritism.

Wow. WOW. These are... AWESOME. You really hit it with Yozu and Sei'zin. They're so simple and memorable and effective. And Kajur's look is.. perfect for her! I immediately understand her personality just by looking at her. She is fantastic. So the name of this project comes from this assassin group, which is called Solaris?

But yep, the story is named after this group, since they're the main antagonists throughout the story

Simplicity in character design is the hardest and most effective thing! I would keep aiming for simple and memorable with every design.

I don't think I could possibly express how amazing this is. And the details and differences between their masks - wow. Just, wow. The golden glow coupled with the darkness really sells the assassin theme in my mind. Nice work!

Wow! I'm wordless. This is absolutely awesome. Please, please, make a comic of this, please. Each character seem so unique and stunning, I'd like to get to know each of them, and as far as I've read the road to that would be full of action.

I won't lie though I didn't even recognize Kye b/c when I glanced over her I thought the bit going up and around her ear was a sideburn -curls up into ball of defeat-
