HELLO, THIS WAS MY WEEKEND.
I've been wanting to design each assassin’s mask for a while now, inspired by a mix of the wearable sculptures of Rein Vollenga and planetary symbols.
The symbols were actually the hardest part of the whole process and took me several months to solidify SOB. When I finally figured all of them out, I kinda went crazy with these bust shots.
In order:
Sun - Kajur, Mercury - Kye, Venus - Hiu, Moon - Chandra, Mars - Kou, Jupiter - Marduk, Saturn - Shani, Uranus - Yozu, Neptune - Sei’zin, Pluto - Yama.
Kajur doesn't have a mask since she’s the head of the Solaris organization and doesn't do assassinations. The rest are all in order of her favoritism.

Oh, man. So diabolical and menacing, but the sleekness and style of it all is so alluring
I really do admire the thought that you put into each of these, and I feel they help us to understand this group a bit better, as well as the power they truly hold in the story
I can tell that Kajur is gonna be a very intimidating figure in the story, eh?

I think... I think I like Yozu and Sei'zin's the best. Then Kye's. and.... just ermahgerd on the designs of these things. These masks are glorious and wonderful in design. Bless your mind for all its creativity. Bless it with all the powers of the Earth and sky so it can keep creating~

I'm still not quite sure how they see with those on, but I guess they could be see-trough from the inside?

I'm actually working on some ideas for how they can see through them...at the moment I really like the idea of cybernetic eye-implants that vibe with the masks. Something like that anyway!

it's still problematic and almost 11000 lost their homes and so on. We're working but the city can't be paralyzed for too long. At least there's no more fire to worry about.
