Description
This is a simple project i did because i was always bored/generally displeased with the original cover for this book because the original consist of a mere cross which is constructed out of a collage of skulls and i feel it has no artistic value or symbolic meaning to the actual story, a simple graphic is fine in my opinion however i feel this book deserved a bit more contrasting and frantic design to complement the context of the story. For the character illustrated on the back, he is never OFFICIALLY illustrated so i kind of had to use my imagination from how the story describes him so if i were to take this more seriously i probably would attempt to simplify it further with the front cover illustration being replaced with a teacup with "L" in a gothic font on it and for the back id replace this illustration with a jar of strawberry jam with "BB" in the same font, and id keep the contrasting checkerboard design since the story revolves around an idea of a psychological game of chess, if you will.
