I can help you there. They're based on English/Irish Mythological Creatures. From left to right, we have: Black Bishop-Fish, Green Manticore, Red Dragon, Blue Gargoyle, and Yellow Ogre. Yeah, a Manticore isn't really an English or Irish Mythological creature, but a Mastodon isn't really a dinosaur. So it evens out.
