Say Hello to Prisoner FC-197275 aka Fritz the Cat.I drew Fritz the Cat who's first X-Rated film, yes, X-Rated, premiered in 1972. It was so popular that another film was released in 1975. That explains the ID on his prisoner uniform.
Fritz has 9 lives and is currently serving 30 years to life. So, if you do the math you'll find out that it'll be some time before Fritz is an uncaged kitty. Hey, it beats what really happened to him in his comic. His creator, Robert Crumb, killed him off
An ice pick in the back of the HEAD will do that!

Creative differences, or some such thing I've heard. I thought Crumb died a few years ago, but apparently, he is still very much alive in southern France.

I'm not fond of those cruds myself. In fact I'm not fond of any of the subversive work of the underground cartoonists. (Crumb, Bakshi, S.Clay Wilson, Morosco,...Greg Irons...)

I hate that name so much that I had a gang member named Bubba in one of my stories, just so I could have him take a swim in cement boots ! I forget the name of the guy who muscled and toughed his way to leadership of the gang, but he was a BAD EGG !
