In my opinion, there are three things that could have been done better. The first thing is the eyes. I like the concept you used of the veins popping out, but they pop out a bit too much. It clashes with the softness of the iris/pupil, and your eyes are drawn to the lines before the eyes. Eyes are important in art because they express emotion, but that emotion is detracted because of those big, glaring red lines. (Also, I'd make the blue brighter, because that would contrast the dark red of the piece even more, and draw you towards her face.
The second thing is her neck. To me it seems as if it is too thick. I'd start the top somewhere in between the two blood dribbles, and the bottom at the left blood dribble, where the blood drops land.
The last thing is the inside of her mane, the darker gradient. It looks flat, and the only thing I can think of is to add lines to it, like you did the outside.
That's all I can think of right now. I really love the work you did with the lines of blood, and the concept of her bathing(?) in it. Bravo, you deserve a watch.

THANK YOU!!! I have been working on this for a long while. started out as a hand drawing/sketch and then evolved into a digital work...and then DeviantMuro screwed it up. BUT!!! I finally found the right program and am working on it as hard as ever.
