The whole scene is probably most impressive from a distance (and safer anyway 
Crop and desaturation work like a charm here ... it's a timeless beauty now!Β
But I do love both versions!

If you have a really close look at the steam rising from the crater, you might be able to see that it is actually a different photo and not a cropped version of the colour one. Got my 70-200mm out for this one and I'm quite glad that I did in the end! Yes it has a completely different feel to the colour photo doesn't it? Not sure which one I prefer
